Relentlessly Pursuing a Cleaner South KC
The Hickman Mills United Neighborhoods (HMUN) cleanup program brings together local youth and adult supervisors to remove litter, brush, and debris from key corridors across South Kansas City. Funded in part by the city, this effort provides paid work opportunities for young residents while improving the appearance, safety, and pride of our neighborhoods. Each Saturday, the team tackles major roads like Bannister and Blue Ridge, making a visible impact and demonstrating what community-driven change looks like in action.
